Peppermint Frosting Can't Understand WHY She Can't Keep (EAT!) Her Pretty Bow!

She is utterly the most charming little creature ever, that winsome small face, those big Cavalier eyes, what a total darling!!! She was quite pleased with her enormous plaid bow and thought she should be allowed to keep it after her puppy glamour shots as a souvenir but sadly, Mama Terry rained on her parade and put it firmly back in the puppy cupboard where all the puppy accruements live.

Nothing is safe in this house by the way when it comes to puppy props, between my fertile imagination and a half dozen curious puppies asking “I wonder what THAT yummy-looking bow would taste like if I can only quietly carry it off when mama isn’t looking!?”

On puppy picture day I wander through our big farmhouse, peering into cupboards or better still, already decorated spots like the big hutch in our kitchen, nothing is safe from my clutching fingers when I’m in puppy decorating mode!

I’m an incurable decorator, be it puppies or houses, or gardens, I had the loveliest compliment the other day when Donna came to pick up Mable Grey, she arrived with her daughter and after falling instantly in love with her new baby, we sat at my favorite spot in the kitchen with its view of the aforementioned hutch all dressed for the season and the twinkling Christmas tree in the family room, a quick tour through the house and she exclaimed:

You have the most beautiful home! I have to tell you, I’m a retired interior decorator and this is so lovely! I could live here!!!

She truly made my day as I’m sure her arms filled with her fluffy new baby did hers. Soon Donna was back in Pennsylvania sending pictures of Mable Grey happily ensconced in her lovely new abode, a demure smile on her furry little face, she definitely approves of the decor in her gorgeous new home too, I raised her well lol!
