So you're probably wondering why I describe some of my Cavapoos as Irish Setter red; I'm happy to enlighten you 😊

You might never have been at a dog show but some of you have watched the annual Westminster  Kennel Club show and if you’ve watched the Sporting Group, you'll see all the setters sailing around the ring with their gorgeous silky coats flying. The Irish Setter, a well-bred Irish Setter anyway, will have the most delicious deep red coat you can imagine. In the Cavapoo, I not only breed for a non-fading coat that keeps its color but also the most deeply pigmented shades of deep Ruby possible or lighter golden Apricot, which is another of my all-time favorites.

Revere is the perfect example of the aforementioned Irish Setter red coat; he is sleek and satiny with beautiful Setter ears and the most marvelous russet-colored coat you could ask for. I know I do rhapsodize about looks and color a lot, but don’t fret, this little fellow also has an abundance of the best sort of Cavapoo character.

He's smart and affectionate, a quick learner and just a wee bit whimsical and droll with his funny expressions. The way he rolls his eyes at the camera you'd never know that he was just a few moments later doing his best to carry off one of the flags just like a good little Patriot.

I'm adjusting his size to about 14 lb grown, he's a sturdy little person with a nice full muzzle and compact, but nicely rounded paws. He thinks he's as big as a real Irish Setter and he has just as much heart and sporty appeal as his larger canine kindred but in an immensely more portable size not to mention a wonderful hypoallergenic option that the full size Setters won't offer. The Best In Show qualities of both worlds and cute cute as can be!
