I continue to be delighted with my blue merle Cavapoo puppies. One of my all-time favorite colors is a crystal clear blue coat shaded with charcoal on an ice-white background! It's so hard to achieve in this breed, and it is a delightful surprise every time we have one pop up here in a litter!

Indigo promises to be not only incredibly beautiful but also has an affectionate, playful disposition that combines all the best traits of the Cavapoo. Yes, she's extra sweet and loves people with all of her puppy heart, she’s not a bit bashful (unlike some of the boys we could mention. Yes Cadbury, I see you hiding under the covers when you think it’s bath time lol!).

By the way, that cute pink nose is darkening to charcoal as we speak, merle puppy noses sometimes start out very light and over time will fill in with more color over time.

The perfect puppy for just about any setting, she’s a quick learner and more of a compliant child, though more of a compliant child, she’s still a puppy and will benefit from playtime outdoors (she’s a little snow-bunny, don’t worry!) I can’t wait to see her all grown up (please share pictures!) she’ll have everyone pleading to puppy-sit so they can brag about the in-laws’s beautiful new puppy!

Isn’t Snuggy Bear the cutest lil guy ever? He is the best combination of couch potato, babysitter, and hiking buddy you'll ever find. Waggy-tailed and extra friendly, he's open for anything you can dream up, from canoeing down the river to snoozing in the hammock some fine summer day; he's your guy 🛶

If you are specifically dog-allergic, I will point you to one of his curlier siblings, as Snuggy has a more Cavalier style coat. He will still be very non-shed and, yes, allergy-friendly, but if you start sneezing at the mere sight of a dog, better steer towards Cherry Cobbler or a tighter-curled puppy kid or maybe a goldfish in a bowl, sigh…

Someone reached out the other day and said their all-grown-up puppy walks two to three miles a day with them (I’m trying to ignore the thought that I should be walking two or three miles a day, too), but I thought how typical it is for this breed and their Cavachon cousins as well. They are amazingly athletic and willing but super little lap sitters and mellow when you want them to be.

That being said, tell hubby that you don’t have to get a black Lab to have a “real dog.” These sturdy canines may be smaller (and oh so much easier to maintain), but they have the heart and sensibilities of larger dogs just packaged in a portable small package that makes life with a dog such a delight.

Snuggy Bear will turn you into the most passionate advocate for dog ownership on the planet (I get mail!). A great puppy can turn the most indifferent naysaying we ain't never getting puppy dad into a pet parent who insists on sharing pictures of his four-footed darling with anyone who will stand still long enough to look!

Yep, he’s even more of a little character than he looks like in his pictures, teeny, tiny, and SO ADORABLE & on his way to being spoiled rotten, I’m sure! “Petey,” as he’s known to his friends, is all of that and a bag of chips, I promise. The camera adores him. Visitors swoon over him and carry him around like a stuffed dog. He gazes out at the rest of the puppies like they are mere mortals, and he? Well, he’s the bestest of the best, the pick of the litter, the top dog, you name it, and he’s decided that all the over-the-top adjectives belong to him. Thank you kindly, ma'am!

I find myself meekly agreeing, that wee little face, that kissable little mouth, that slightly indignant expression like, how can you possibly let me sit here while you take pictures when you could be holding me instead??? He was perfectly right, and I had to scoop him up a couple of times and just smooch his curly top knot in between, capturing one after another of the cutest puppy pictures on the planet. 

Sigh. I could keep him, but I won't because someone out there needs him, I'm sure. He'll end up riding around and showing all the world what CUTE on Four Paws really looks like. That's the job I raised him to do, and he'll be good at it!

Everything about him is delightful; take a look at the scads of pictures, some of them about life-size if you’re on a laptop. First, he’s super affectionate and cuddly and then races around like a little go-kart, skidding on all the corners, trying to scoop up the best toys before his sister nabs them. Even she is totally smitten with this small hoodlum and almost always gives up whatever the current prize is with a smile on her puppy face like she agrees he’s too adorable to say No to, lol!

These sisters look so much alike; I cannot believe how nearly identical they are—especially Penny Day, Cherry Cobbler, and Honor Bright. I'd say they were bookends, but there are three of them, lol. More to love, and how could you resist any of these tiny faces? 

Penny Day was feeling very sorry for herself for having to have pictures done when she'd rather have been racing up and down the teeter-totter. After all, we had one beautiful day of almost 60°, and why waste it indoors, said she. Fret not, she got her wish, and this demure little bundle was soon playing in the sunshine, little ears flying with the joy of life and a beautiful break from the frigid temperatures.

It always amazes me how sturdy and hardy these little creatures are. She's all of 4 lb and, even on snowy days, loves playing outdoors, albeit for brief periods of time. She hops through the snow like a bunny until her paws start to get cold, and she scoots over, bouncing up and down to let me know it’s time for all good puppies to snuggle on a warm, cozy blanket for a nice long snooze. Yes, tired puppies are the best puppies, and nap time is perfect for recharging those puppy batteries 😴

A prim & proper girlie girl, our Ella Rose was delighted with her fancy pink bow though I did have to tuck it up out of her way because it was so long she was stepping on it. I decided that it did look like a very chewable object so we had to make some adjustments midway through the pictures though she was good as gold and never even licked it, lol. I think she thought it was a good color with her red hair and she hoped I was going to let her keep it 🎀

Gosh, these are such lovely puppies, inside and out. Someone is coming to visit two of the girls this afternoon and as we were giving them a go home bath, I thought to myself that Karen and Bob couldn't go wrong with any one of these puppies. They are visiting Bloomy and Ella of course, and their first Foxglove Farm puppy who they recently lost, Sammie, lived to be an incredible 17 and a half years old. I am so delighted that they have come full circle and that I will help fill that empty place in their hearts with a new little puppy soul to love. What a privilege to be part of blessing their lives.

Ah, but as usual, I digress. There are so many stories and the road has had many turnings but I continue to love what I do, even when there are bumps in the road (and trust me, any dog breeder worth her salt will have many of those.) At the end of the day, I never fail to be charmed by these small creatures, taking their pictures and bringing as much beauty as I possibly can to the families who adopt our puppies.

Whichever puppy they choose will help them heal their hearts and fill the empty place left behind by sweet Sammie. And, though the baby that goes home with them will have very big paw prints to fill, she will make it her life’s work to love them with all the love one puppy heart can hold. What more could anyone ask? 😇

Cavachon Puppy Tricolor Girl | 12 - 14 Pounds Adult Size | Currently she’s about 4 Pounds 😊

Oh, what a little bundle this saucy baby is; she's quite smitten with herself already; it's hard not to be when everyone tells you how ridiculously adorable you are on a regular basis. She reminds me just a pinch of our beautiful boy Hastings with her mischievous expression and deliciously friendly disposition. She truly never meets a stranger, and patty cakes up with those white boots dancing a jig, greeting everyone with the invitation to immediately pick her up and let the other puppies know that yes, indeedy she is the bee's knees no doubt about it!

I'm guesstimating a little on her size, her paws are small as is her muzzle, I think I'm safely leaning toward the 12 lbs but you'll know by the time she's around 8 months of age. Cavachon grow quickly and reach maturity much sooner than their larger canine kindred. By the way, that's no reason to rush into spaying and neutering too early. Let's let these youngsters mature and keep those growth hormones on board long enough to ensure a healthy adult dog as well.

Speaking of maturing, note her plush, wavey coat: as she is groomed and her puppy coat transitions into adult, she’ll sport a lovely thick loaded with curls, adult version of herself. Exceedingly non-shed and allergy-friendly, your groomer will demand bragging rights for this darling will turn heads and showcase the skills of a fabulous groomer much better than dogs without the proper body and density of coat.

All in all, she’s totally scrumptious and won’t be available long; Instagram is already head over heels in love with her! “Yes, yes, yes!!!!❤️😁”

Cavachon Puppy Mahogany Sable & White Boy | Adult Size 18-ish Pounds Grown

It’s been about 5 years since I’ve used one of my most favorite names, “Cadbury,” but with this beautiful chocolatey/mahogany boy, I couldn't resist, so Cadbury he is! Every bit as sweet as his namesake chocolate bar and twice as irresistible, by the way.

Yes, he’s as sweet as can be, a cheerful puppy guy who loves everyone he meets, two or four-footed. Don’t let him fool you; he’s a mush, bashful at first and wants to climb up in your lap, then he’s chasing the cat and sending her to the top of the couch for refuge. Trust me, that will happen about one time before your kitty puts a stop to the shenanigans, and Mr. Cadbury finds himself retreating to the couch to ponder the wisdom of cat chasing in the future. He’s actually quite the charmer: he knows he’s handsome and hopes he goes somewhere where he’ll be spoiled to bits lol!

Of course, Mama Terry disagrees with that plan entirely, and she’s assured him that a copy of her very own “New Puppy 101” will accompany him via email so his new family is well versed in all things puppy before he puts a foot to the ground in his new home. (Mama Terry is no fun at all, says Cadbury).

This lovely puppy’s grandmother was imported from Romania, and he comes from some of the bluest blood blended with good old-fashioned American stock, which always makes for sturdy, sound Cavachon offspring.

By the way, I’m astonished that Cavachons are still relatively rare in the canine world. Over on Instagram, the #Cavapoo search brings up over 4 million posts the Cavachon? Less than a million! I can't believe how relatively rare the Cavachon still is in the world of canine companions. I've raised both Cavachons and Cavapoos for almost 2 decades, and of course, I love them both, the Cavachon does come in colors you don’t see in the Cavapoo, more reasons to love them both!

Cavapoo Puppy Ruby & White Girl | 12 - 14 Pounds Adult Size | Currently 4.5 Pounds | SO PRETTY!!!

Cherry Cobbler was peacefully enjoying her favorite kong (stuffed with toothsome liver treats, of course) when her siblings discovered her prize, and the race was on! Before it was over, all the treats were gone, and poor Cherry was trying to make do with a boring stuffed duck; she couldn’t wait to get to her new home and have ALL the toys to herself, and no more sharing!

She’s so pretty, but wait till you see her furry self in person. That's what everyone tells me, by the way, because most of our puppies are delivered via puppy nanny (if the new family is more than 3 or 4 hours drive from Foxglove Farm). I've heard it a hundred times, yes,,, the pictures are just like eye candy,,, but oh my gosh the puppy is EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON!

Which is why I try to take lots and lots of pictures of each puppy, so even if you can’t meet a puppy face to face, you can see each puppy shining brightly even if you’re in Peoria or Pensacola or Pasadena, and have no intention of making the trip to Ohio!

Back to our little redhead, there's something about her expression that is so winning and appealing I predict she'll fly off the page and be utterly irresistible to that special someone who is looking for precisely this puppy! 

I spend a lot of time looking into puppy faces and determining personalities and character traits to help me navigate them to their future families. This baby tells me that she's going to be a delight, whatever the setting. She'll make an excellent companion for your elderly Cocker Spaniel or a most entertaining playmate for your 8-year-old twins. Speaking about sharing, some parents tell me they have to set a timer so each child gets a fair share of one-on-one time with the new baby! Cherry Cobbler says she can’t wait to be the center of everyone’s attention 💖
