Healthy Puppy

Terry Cross

As a dog breeder and veterinary technician (of more years than I like to admit!), I’ve done the research on what it takes to keep not only my puppies healthy, but what simple steps the puppy owner needs to take to keep their puppy healthy for the long-term.

No matter what the advertising says, NO packaged dry dog food alone is enough to ensure that your puppy grows into a healthy adult, in fact, I can almost guarantee that if you only provide that kind of diet to your pets, you’ll have more trips to the veterinarians office, first for minor issues like ear infections, food allergies, skin conditions and the like (I worked in animal hospitals for years and I’ve seen the progression).

As the years go by and you continue to pour out bowls of the over-processed, high heat sterilized, nutrient lacking cardboard (sorry!), your dog will begin a steady or sometimes sudden decline in health that will not only be exceedingly expensive, but could be heart-breaking to watch.

I’ve been there and after my most recent much loved canine companion developed cancer at only 4 years of age, I determined that whatever it took I would find a way to not only help her live longer, but help my puppy people have the simple tools necessary to help their puppies live longer healthier lives.

Pictured is a bottle of “Agatha’s Apothecary Advanced Probiotic” yes, that’s my beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Agatha on the label, you can read her story on my blog devoted to helping our dogs live better lives.

My journey with not only Agatha, but with Joey & Bumble Bee, and with my other loved pets, my years in animal medicine and watching our clients and their struggles when their own pets developed health problems that often ended with the loss of their pet, have helped bring me to the realization that pet owners need help finding answers on how to truly enhance their much loved dogs lives, answers on how to keep them healthy, I love dogs and I hope that my experience will help make that journey an easier one for dog lovers everywhere.
